Hume and Iser’s hardware department has over 3,000 square metres of just about everything you could need for the home. The shop carries approximately 30,000 lines and has access to much more. Like the timber yard, the shop caters for all people, from the DIY to the major builder who needs access to anything from a bolt and nut to a power saw or drill.

Our hardware department also features a Builders’ Counter, where specialised staff assist local trades people.
The hardware manager, Bryan Tracey, has extensive retail management experience and is passionate about making your visit to Hume and Iser as rewarding as possible, with great product range, regular specials and enthusiastic staff.

The department has something for every garden, be it a formal, cottage, native or courtyard garden and a huge range of drought tolerant plants and resistant plants and can provide you with water saving advice and product to keep your garden thriving

One of our original departments, the timber yard carries everything you could need in timber for that next project.
Hume & Iser Timber yard caters for the DIY person through to the major project builder.
We also have our own trucks and utes and pride ourselves on having the timber on the door step when required.

Almost half the timber yard is under cover making life easier during hot summer and cold, wet winter days.
Our semi visits Melbourne metro daily so we can get our products here fast. Hume and Iser’s timber manager, Peter Conforti, has worked in the timber industry all his working life. His is committed to providing exceptional quality materials at competitive prices and assisting other staff in bettering their knowledge so they too are able to cater for customer needs.

From decorative mouldings, ceiling roses and cornices, insulation and the TWS Cladding System are all on hand ready to be delivered 5 days a week.
The staff are experts in the field, so they can provide good advice for both the professional and DIYs alike
