DAVID - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
David’s journey with Hume & Iser began in 1985 as an apprentice Wood Machinist, laying the foundations for a career built on practical skill, leadership, and deep knowledge of the business and its people across multiple roles and departments over time.
​
After a brief hiatus during the 1991 recession, he returned and steadily progressed through the ranks, ultimately becoming Group Operations Manager and helping guide performance and long-term operational direction overall.
​
In 2011, David joined Boral as a Sales Manager, gaining experience before returning in 2021 as CEO, where he leads with insight and a commitment to Hume & Iser’s future.
BRENTON - STORE MANAGER
Brenton brings over 30 years of retail experience at Hume & Iser, building a strong foundation of knowledge, leadership, and customer service across a wide range of roles within the business and its evolving hardware and trade environment over time.
With more than 18 years in senior roles, alongside a decade spent at Woolworths, he has developed a well-rounded understanding of retail operations, team leadership, and customer expectations across both large-scale and independent business settings.
Today, Brenton manages our Hardware department, supporting both retail and trade customers while leading his team and actively sourcing new products to meet customer needs.
DYLAN - ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER
Dylan is a dedicated retail professional with a strong background in customer service and management, bringing energy, fresh thinking, and a genuine passion for helping customers across a wide range of roles within the retail environment over time.

A proud member of the Bendigo community, he joined Hume & Iser Mitre 10 after gaining valuable experience with major retailers, where he built a reputation for his positive attitude, reliability, and ability to contribute new ideas that support both team success and customer satisfaction.

Today, Dylan is excited to help lead the team and continue delivering great service to our customers every day.
PETER - TIMBER MANAGER
Peter brings over 40 years of industry experience, including 27 years with Hume & Iser, building a deep understanding of timber, operations, and customer service across a wide range of roles within the business and broader industry over time.
With hands-on experience in sales, sawmills, and treatment plant operations, he has developed extensive product knowledge and practical insight, allowing him to confidently support both trade and retail customers with informed advice and reliable solutions.
Today, Peter is known for delivering exceptional customer service with a friendly approach, ensuring satisfaction in every interaction while sharing his knowledge with customers every day.
OPERATIONS TEAM - ADMINISTRATION
The administrative team at Hume & Iser Mitre 10 plays a vital role in supporting the business, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across all departments through strong organisation, communication, and system management within a fast-paced retail and trade environment.
