Hume & Iser, a forth generation, family owned company, has been an intergral thread in the fabric of Bendigo for over 125 years

From the days when Mr W Humme took over the City Steam Saw Mills in 1880 the business has had as much to celebrate as it has had to survive.

It has outlasted wars, the depression and in more recent times competition from multi national hardware chains to become Australia's largest HOME Hardware store.

From the slums of gold fever to beautiful streets of Victorian cottages and even our most famed heritage buildings such as the Town Hall and the Art Gallery came to life with the help and dedication of Hume & Iser.
